Personal Data Collection Policy

At this time, nothing is collected directly by Coach Josh just from website use, although personal correspondence may be saved as it relates to testimonials, file ideas, etc.  E-mails and  purchase history may be saved by sites I utilize for selling files, solely for the purpose that I can check file history if needed (for example, if you lose your recording, I may be able to send it to you again at no extra charge – but I would want to check records). It is recommended that you yourself keep track of what site you purchase on, what dates, what screennames or e-mails, etc. for these reasons. It is also recommended that you keep a back-up of any files downloaded, but please no posting/sharing without permission.

By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. However some plugins may collect personal data. Any known instances are listed below.

Patreon features in this website

In order to enable you to use this website with Patreon services, we save certain functionally important Patreon information about you in this website if you log in with Patreon.

These include your Patreon user id, Patreon username, your first, last names and your vanity name. Additionally, the id of your campaign at Patreon and your campaign’s Patreon URL are also saved.

If you request that your data be deleted from this website, this data will also be deleted and Patreon functionality will not work. You would need to register on this website and log in to this website with Patreon again in order to re-populate this data and have Patreon functionality working again.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, or send them to Coach Josh, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. If you want to send progress photos, etc., Coach will not post those without your permission and will not use embedded data.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

Who we share your data with

By default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone. Coach Josh may choose to share, on his own sites/social media, praise or testimonials but will do this attributed in a way that you are comfortable with to keep anonymity. He does not share your data.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

Most of this is boiler-plate from WordPress, I’m just a one man guy doing his best but by no means a technical expert. Still, you can e-mail Coach here if needed.

How we protect your data

WordPress plug-ins like Spamguard are used to help deter unwanted presences.

What third parties we receive data from

Only as it regards to file sales and Patreon, as listed above.
