Getting super-serious for June. Yesterday I wrote up a meal plan that should have me around 3000cals and 250g of protein per day, and throughought the day today I've been grocery shopping so I'm stocked up on the basics: chicken breast, steak, tuna, tilapia, brown rice, oatmeal, lots and lots of broccoli, spinach, mixed veggies of all kinds, cottage cheese, olive oil, almonds, natural peanut butter, eggs....I've got it all and am set up to succeed for the week.

I'm hoping to start a cycle of juice this week, so I REALLY want everything to be in line to make the absolute best of it. I'm feeling like a real bodybuilder, the way I know exactly what to eat and when. smile

Immediate goal is to get under 20% bodyfat by the end of the month and then take it from there.

I had a day that started out awesome and then turned sour bit by bit until right now I feel completely drained and stressed and don't know what to do with myself. All I could think about on my way home from work was that I wanted to plug in my favourite dumbing down files and let myself just be a stupid meathead for an hour or two.

I'm about to plug in right now, but wanted to know if anyone else uses this fetish as a way to escape their day to day lives, and find out if they think it's a good thing or a bad thing to do.

For me, because it is a goal of mine that I have always had, I think it's important to stay connected to my inner dumb jock in good times and bad, so I think it's helpful. But maybe others disagree or see a different side to things.

So, I play rugby. Typically forward, usually a prop. Lucky thing props aren't known for their smarts.

Next to bodybuilders/powerlifters/strength athletes, I think rugby players have the hottest builds. Mmmm, them legs. smile

I'm not a designer, and have no clue about any of those companies (I've heard okay things about cafepress, but don't know how they work or whether they're a good fit).

I'd buy clothes from here, because I like the idea of supporting a "jocking community", and can always use more lifting clothes. I'm more likely to buy things that are either very basic or have a slight sense of humour. I'm not "out" as a dimwit to anyone except my bf, but I'm open about my love for muscle.

I find anything "alpha" to be tacky as hell....and maybe because I used to be nerdy, I don't want to insult the guys who are nerdy and happy about it by implying they are "betas" somehow.

I think the two progress threads could be merged...for me, the mental progress is tied to the physical progress (as I get bigger, the dumber I feel is one of the themes of my Skype 'tist), so it's weird to have those two be separate.

Otherwise, my sport is rugby...maybe there could be broader categories like team sports, contact sports, strength sports, etc? I don't know...I'd rather be playing sports than watching them...too many fans are all about the numbers and the stats and I just want to get physical myself.

Ok, yeah, getting so dumb I cant even think is what I really want. I keep working to find a way to do it.  bit by bit bros.

Srsly being a dumb jock who just lifts and grows and jerks off with his buds all the time...that's what I want.

Not a suggestion, but a question...can we talk about steroids here? One of my kinks is to become a huge roided out muscle freak, and I've done one cycle and will start another in a couple of weeks. It's also a part of some of the mp3 files I listen to (not yours Coach Josh), so some people might have questions if they want to go down that route.

IF it's something you don't have a problem with people talking about, you should have a rule about no asking for/providing sources for drugs. It can get risky for the site owner if there;s any trafficking on their site.

So....this is where it gets complicated. Working out I can do, I'm consistent, and can see steady results. I have a well-defined set of goals, and know how to reach them.

With mental progress, my goals seem to change with the seasons. There are times I like being smart, and other times when I want nothing else but to be a dumb meathead the rest of my life. This makes it a challenge to fuck with my mind, because what I want keeps changing.

Lately I've been more about being the dumb jock. I'm listening daily to Major Pixel's dumb jock file, and I think it's working. I haven't been following the news at all and find I feel; really disconnected from and bored by talk abnout current events. I'd really much rather listen to my Slow files and work out and jerk off all the time. I feel lazier when it comes to spelling and reading, and really have to struggle to care about typos. And really the only web pages I'm checking these days are tumblr (for muscle porn) and hypno sites like this one.

Part of my fantasies are to become not only dumb but to be a muscle whore as well, ready to be worshipped for money so that I can support myself and my bodybuilding without having to hold down a serious job. I just started as a personal trainer which is great and I love it, but I stil;l have to be a little smart to do it.

Really, is there a life better than working out, shooting up roids with a muscle buddy, having a no-strings j/o session with him and then maybe just playing video games, flexing, and listening tio hypno files the rest of the day? That's the life I want.

The musclepig files are really good...there are actually a few of them that pop up every now and then, and I think they are the files that, after years of trying different styles and different tists, finally broke through my resistence and really let me go under. They also are fairly mild as far as the suggestions go...yes, you will think of yourself as a "muscle pig" but all that means is someone who really gets a thrill out of flexing and growing. There isn't any real triggers or hidden enslavement stuff that some other files have.

Speaking of, Major Pixel, who has a very twisted mind, has a bunch of muscle files that are on my playlists right now. But his files are explicitly for twisting and perverting anyone who listens to them. I find them REALLY effective, but they ARE turning me into a pervert in some ways.

So, a bit more about me. I want to be a mindless bodybuilder who is always horny and wants to just lift weights, flex, and j/o all day. I've always wanted muscle, but only got serious about it when I quit drinking a couple of years ago. October will be 3 years of lifting and being sober.

When I started I was about 270lbs, and was about 40+% bodyfat, so I've made a lot of progress.

With my trainer, we recently did a few weeks of strength training, so my 1 Rep Maxes for my main lifts are: deadlift 345lbs, bench press 240lbs, squat 315lbs.

This week is week 2 od my hypertrophy (muscle building) stage. We'll be working for the next 8 weeks trying to turn my strength into size. After that we'll probably move into a cut for the summer, because my bf (bodyfat) is hovering around 20% and I'd like to see abs one day. But we might also just decide to go back and forth between strength and hypertrophy to build up my lean mass size. We'll see.

In the next year, I'd really like to find a bodybuilding coach to keep me on track with diet, posing, and all of that stuff., I'd also like to find an "owner" who could maybe manage my "image"...because I'd love to be a kept muscle stud who will flex on cam for money, but I don't really have a head for computers so having someone to take care of that, and make sure that my flexing is paying for supplements, "supplements" food, etc.

Mentally, I've been listening to a lot of files by Major Pixel, so that's where my head is at right now. I have a live tist over Skype who I have a great, but no-strings, relationship with who is helping me to get dumber and love flexing and being just a dumb muscle jock more and more. Sometimes I'm rtoo smart, but these days I'm getting into the dumb muscle thing really deeply, and I love it. smile

Just wanted to share because some guys might be new to exercise, but a GREAT way to do cardio, especially for hard-gainers OR for guys like me who want to keep their muscle but still have strong cardio health, is HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). The only piece of equipment you need is shoes and a field or a grassy hill, and the shoes are optional.

Interval training is in a lot of ways better than "steady state" cardio (where you run at a constant speed for 20-30 minutes or more), because with steady state, your body starts to burn muscle along with the fat.

HIIT by contrast, actually puts your body in a state where you release more testosterone and can even build muscle.

A great example is the difference between sprinters and marathon runners. Sprinters go all-out for very short distances, and as a consequence not only are their legs HUGE, but the rest of their body gets pretty thick, too. Marathon runners tend to be very, very lean to the point where they have very little muscle mass at all.

My workout today was just hill sprints: I live near a park with a hill and a smallish field. After warming up, I sprinted (running at close to my top speed) to the top, and then jogged down the hill back to the bottom. I then walked across the field, started jogging on the way back, and when I hit the hill again I broke into another sprint.

I did this 15 times today, for a workout of about 18-20 minutes, and then came home to get my protein shake and dinner.

Hill sprints are great to build power in the legs, but even sprinting on level ground is great for your whole body.

Sprint form 10-15 seconds, and then walk or jog for a minute. Repeat 10-12 times. After you've done this workout a few times, start increasing your sprint time and decreasing your rest time.

It's a great workout and its something that any jock can benefit from, even if they don't have a gym membership.

I'm just starting this thread for something to do...I've been working out for almost 3 years  now, and have days where I feel good about the progress and days where I don't. I'm 6', 220-225lbs. I'm probably going to do a cycle of steroids soon (my 2nd)....the long term goal is as much muscle as possible. I want to be the image of a man who's given up interest in everything except building his body. People should stare at me when I enter a room.

Hi Coach Josh...I'm not really a user of your files, but I've been following your posts on the AtCoach'sFeet group and elsewhere and thought I'd check this forum out...I think there's a real need for a place for wannabe jocks to talk about how to get where they want to go, so I hope this community isn't just for listeners of your files.

I don't know if you're taking suggestions for this place, and I know it's a work in progress, but would it be useful to have a section for people to track their progress? This can be about workouts and physical progress, or mental progress (like, tracking the dumbing down or personality changes, etc)...just people can start a thread like "GoodboyMuscleJock's progress thread" and then go to town.

Thanks again for starting this forum, and I hope it grows and helps make the world a jockier place. smile

The biggest influences for me are:

1) Being consistent. This is the bedrock of everything else, and what I come back to when I'm stuck. I go to the gym no matter what. If it's a workout day and I feel like shit, I still get to the gym, even if I turn around the minute I walk rthrough the front door. The thing about this step is its the hardest to get going but once you've been to the gym 3-4 times a week for 6 months (I'm going on 3 years), it gets a million times easier. But don't even think about the 6 months...think about -today-. If today is a gym day, go to the gym (or workout or whatever).

2) Getting a trainer. I lost 20lbs of fat on my own over a year. I lost 20lbs of fat with a trainer in 4 months. Everybody is different, so there is no way to know what workout routine will work, but if you can find a trainer or coach who is ready to invest their time in your development, and who cares about your success, you will be amazed. I've been working with my trainer for just over a year. He's a powerlifter but is excited to see me grow into a bodybuilder, and has helped me improve my lifts and keep my routines in line.

Those are my big "tips".

Practically I would want to be as dumb as I can be while still growing muscle. If I have to support myself, then I'd need to hold a job, and if I'm responsible for my workout routines and nutrition etc, then I'd want to be smart enough to manage my program, to plan ahead, to eat right, and to know enough about supplements and "supplements" to keep growing. Sadly, that's pretty damn smart.

So sometimes I think being super muscle-focused is a better route...not attacking intelligence but instead diverting it. The brain cells I use to spell words or read the news would instead be used on periodization and macro-nutrient balancing.
